Two Individuals Formally Indicted with Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.

Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
