Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
